Welcome to the De Anza Force 90G Blue

Sun, Surf and Success as the Summer of 2008 Comes to a Close
Playing for the last time in competitive college showcases, De Anza Force 90G Blue had a great Summer of 2008. The team’s U18 summer season started with the Laguna Hills Eclipse College Showcase over Memorial Day weekend. The following weekend, Force 90G played some hot soccer before more than 100 college coaches at the Texas Shootout in Houston, Texas. The run of showcases and phenomenal college exposure continued in late July with the Pleasanton Rage College Showcase, where more than 40 college coaches watched.

San Diego Surf Cup •
Then, on the first weekend in August, the Force 90 Blue girls — the only team from the San Francisco Peninsula and South Bay areas to be invited — played in the highly prestigious San Diego Surf Cup, where another 80 college coaches watched from the sidelines. It was the 3rd time in 4 years that the Force 90G have played in Summer Surf Cup, behind only the two State Cup finalists in number of appearances.

The summer provided many players on the team the exposure necessary to attract colleges interested in signing them to National Letters of Intent. Watch the list of verbal commitments grow by clicking on Future College Stars in the margin at left.

So Cal Blues Quarterfinalist •
The Summer of 2008 came to an end for De Anza Force 90G Blue when the team advanced to the Quarterfinals of the So Cal Blues Cup over Labor Day Weekend, falling 4-3 in PKs after a 0-0 draw with the San Juan Spirits Blue. It was our 5th consecutive appearance in Blues Cup.

Now it’s on to an exciting and highly challenging U18G fall season in the Golden State Soccer League (GSSL), and after winter high school soccer is over, our farewell State Cup in the spring of 2009. Those years from U11 to U18 sure went fast!

Three-Time State Cup Semifinalists • 2008, 2007, 2006 — for three consecutive years, De Anza Force 90G Blue has made it to the Cal-North State Cup semifinals. Before that, the team reached the State Cup quarterfinals in 2005.

A Dazzling History • Since our U11 season, the De Anza Force 90G Blue (formerly the Dazzle) has won 16 tournaments, two fall league titles, and two spring championships. We are currently a U18 team, with a roster consisting of talented 2009, 2010, and 2011 players — almost all of whom hope to play soccer at the collegiate level. Virtually all of our players have been involved in ODP, with five players on the current roster having experience at the State ODP level or higher.

Force 90G Blue is coached by Adrianne Fass, a former five-time ODP Regional and U.S. national pool player and All American at the University of Florida. She is assisted by Felicia Perez, a past Cal-North State ODP head coach and head coach at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose.
